SCSU's Tyler Koivisto Named NSIC Golfer of the Week

St. Cloud State University junior Tyler Koivisto (Cokato, Miin./Dassel-Cokato H.S.) was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's golfer of the week on Oct. 2.
Koivisto shot back-to-back one over par rounds of 73 at the NSIC Fall Championship tournament at the Classic at Madden's golf course in Brainerd, Minn. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. He is currently tied for the individual lead at the top of the NSIC leaderboard at the completion of the fall competion.
Koivisto was consistent as he shot rounds of 36 and 37 on the front and back nine in each round, including three birdies over 36 holes at the Classic. The final 36 holes of the 2013-14 NSIC championship will be played April 11-12, 2014 at The Jewel in Lake City, Minn.
