Huskies Come Out Strong at the SDSU Indoor Classic

Brookings, S.D.---St. Cloud State competed at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D. on Feb. 13-14. The Huskies men's team took it to the rest of the competition with seven top ten finishes, six of which were in individual events.Â
Keyshawn Davis found himself on the podium, with a third place finish after jumping past his competition in the men's long jump, with a final distance of 7.09 meters. He also competed in the triple jump event, scoring a 13.88 meter jump, and taking home fourth place.Â
Ryan Johnson posted a second place finish in men's weight throw, with an impressive 17.94 meters, along with a sixth place finish in shot put, with a final distance of 15.76.Â
Rafael Saez was right behind Johnston, with a 15.35 meter throw, to gain him seventh place in shot put.Â
Two Huskies represented St. Cloud in the 400 meter dash. JoVonte Suber ran into fifth place with a time of 48.60 seconds, as teammate Isaiah Pitchford followed in behind, with a seventh place finish at 49.56 seconds.Â
Both Suber and Pitchford helped the men's 4x400 team run to a third place finish, along with Marcus Welk, and Wyatt Vernon. The team ended with a final time of 3:17.16.Â
Jasmine Grant came out for the women, with a sixth place finish in the 400 meter, with a time of 58.09.Â
