St. Cloud State's Gottschalk places fifth at NSIC Pentathlon

St. Cloud State University's Natalie Gottschalk placed fifth at the 2015 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference indoor pentathlon on Feb. 15 at Myers Fieldhouse on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, Minn.
Gottschalk tallied 3,262 total points, while Bree Woelber of Augustana College won the title with 3,892 points. She posted a time of 9.99 in the 60M and a time of 2:26.20 in the 800M. She also posted a jump of 5.25M in the long jump and a leap of 1.58M in the high jump. In the shot put, Gottschalk top throw was 9.05M. Her score was an NCAA provisional performance.
SCSU's other competitors in the pentathlon were Laure Olson and Patience Yalartai. Olson posted a seventh place finish with 3,194 points and Yalartai was eighth with 3,135 points.
The NSIC/US Bank Indoor Track & Field Championships will continue on Thurs.-Fri., February 26-27 in Mankato, Minn.
