Becky Schmidt claims second team All-American honors in NCAA long jump

Patience Yalartai places 15th at NCAA Indoor Championships
Birmingham, Ala. -- St. Cloud State senior Becky Schmidt (White Bear Lake, Minn.) placed 10th in the long jump at the NCAA Division II National Indoor Track and Field Championships to earn second team All-American honors Friday, March 13.
Schmidt placed 10th with a leap of 18-8.75.Â
Teammate sophomore Patience Yalartai (Bloomington, Minn.) placed 15th with a mark of 18-3.00.
Yalartai will compete in the triple jump at 4 p.m. eastern time/3 p.m. central on Saturday.
