St. Cloud State Track and Field Post Four Wins at Kip Janvrin Open

St. Cloud, Minn. --- St. Cloud State sent seven athletes to Simpson College in Indianola, IA. to represent the Huskies in the 2015 Kip Janvrin Open on April 23-24. All seven athletes took home a medal in respected events, adding to the Huskies 2015 outdoor season sucess.
Keyshawn Davis took home the gold medal for the third time this season in the men's long jump, with a winning jump of 23-02.75 (7.08 m). He also posted a second place finish in the men's triple jump with a final distance of 44-04.25 (13.52m).
St. Cloud had four men representing in the 400 meter dash, with two top 10 finishers. JoVonte Suber claimed first place with a time of 48.49, while Isaiah Pitchford followed in behind with a fifth place finish and a time of 49.25.
JT Butler ran into first place for the first time this 2015 outdoor season with a 11.00 second finish in the men's 100 meter dash. He added to his collection in the 200 meter dash, where he took second place with a time of 22.26.
Patience Yalarti clinched third place with a 5.55 meter jump in the women's long jump. This is Yalarti's third medal in long jump this outdoor season.
JoVonte Suber, Isaiah Pitchford, Marcus Welk and Tom Bates made up the the men's 4x400 relay team. With a time of 3:18.82, they took the title and added onto the Huskies success at the Kip Janvrin Open.
