Nine Huskies named to USA College Football D-II Pre-Season All-American Team

As the St. Cloud State football team prepares for the 2015 season, the pre-season accolades are being announced and the Huskies have strong representation on the USA College Football D-II Pre-Season All-American Team.
Nine Huskies, including two first team picks, five offensive players and four defensive players, have been named to the pre-season team.
The first team selections are senior offensive lineman Bret Piekarski and senior defensive back Jordan Sefon. Both players were first team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) picks in 2014.
Named to the second team were senior runningback Ledell White, senior tight end Grant Thayer and senior offensive lineman Karl Eichinger.
The Honorable Mention group includes junior wide receiver Matt Hentges, senior offensive lineman Rafael Saez and junior linebacker Adam Josephson.
Eichinger and Sefon are repeat honorees as they both earned the same pre-season honor in 2014.
Four of the pre-season All-Americans will captain the Huskies in 2015 as Piekarski, White, Sefon and Westart will hold the honor.
St. Cloud State posted its seventh straight winning season in 2014 finishing the year with a 6-5 overall record and ending the season on a three-game win streak. The Huskies will open the 2015 season at home on Thursday, Sept. 3, 6 p.m. against Concordia University-St. Paul. St. Cloud State will host six home games in 2015.
