2017: In his redshirt sophomore season, Giese recorded a 9-2 record with a team-leading 1.87 ERA over 72.2 innings pitched... Started 13 games for the Huskies in 2017... Recorded 79 strikeouts and held opponents to a .238 batting average... Giese tossed two complete games with one of them being a shutout... 2017 ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All Central... 2017 NCBWA DII Honorable Mention All-Central... 2017 All-NSIC First Team... 2017 NSIC Academic All-NSIC...

Before SCSU: A 2014 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High...played for coach Kraig Terpstra...earned three letters in baseball and two letters in football at SPASH...played Legion ball for Plover Black Sox Post 543...helped his Legion team witn 2014 Wisconsin state championship and runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2015...earned High Honors in high school...member of the National Honor Society.
