2019: Miks will be serving as a third-year captain for SCSU... Made his first start for SCSU since 2017 at the Houston Winter Invitational where he was the pitcher of record in SCSU's 7-3 win over #20 Central Missouri... Struck out five, walked none and allowed two earned runs over six innings of work... A 2019 Preseason NCBWA 2nd Team All-Region selection...

2018: Made three appearances in relief after recovering from a season-ending injury in 2017... Tossed three innings and collected five strikeouts while not allowing a run, or a walk... Only allowed one hit in ten batters faced...

2017: Made two starts and tossed six innings before being sidelined due to injury.

2016: Miks was the 2016 NSIC Pitcher of the Year...named 2016 NCBWA DII Central Region Pitcher of the Year...named a 2016 Division II All-American by the NCBWA (HM), ABCA/Rawlings (3rd team) and the D2CCA (third team)...All-NSIC First Team...concensus All-Region First team selection...a 2016 Tomko Award top 10 finalist...named to 2016 NSIC All-Tournament team..posted an 8-3 record with a 1.96 ERA in 87.1 IP...led SCSU with 79 strikeouts...only allowed 19 earned runs and 90 hits as a sophomore.

2015: Miks was the 2015 NSIC Freshman of the Year...he was also named a 2015 Daktronics DII All-American as well as a 2015 NCBWA DII All-American and a 2015 ABCA/Rawlings DII All-Central Region Team..Miks was named to the 2015 Daktronics DII All-Central Team and the 2015 NCBWA DII All-Central Region Team and was awarded to the 2015 All-NSIC Team and a 2015 NSIC All-Tournament Team...Miks finished with a 10-2 record in 2015 with a 1.15 ERA with 59 SO.

Before SCSU: A 2014 graduate of Shakopee H.S...played for coaches Tom Schleper and Ryan Niedfeldt...a Minnesota Mr. Baseball finalist...2X All-State award winner...team captain as a junior and senior...plays for the Shakopee town team during the summer...All-Conference award winner in hockey during his sophomore and junior season at Shakopee...also served as a hockey team captain twice.

Personal: The son of George and Stephanie Miks of Shakopee, Minn...honor roll student in high school...enjoys dorm golf, ping pong and fishing...pre-med major at SCSU.
