2015-16: Gained All-America honors with a third place finish in the 285-pound bracket at the 2016 NCAA DII finals...36-2 record...17 falls...placed first at Iowa State, Husky Open and Midland Open in 2015-16...named Outstanding Wrestler at 2015 Husky Open...placed first at the 2016 NCAA DII Super Three Regional at 285...a 2X NSIC Wrestler of the Week in 2015-16...All-NSIC First Team...will serve as a team captain in 2016-17...a team Iron Man of the Year award winner.

Before SCSU: A 2012 graduate of Caledonia H.S...a 2X sectional champ and a sectional runner-up in wrestling...a 2X state champion in 2010 and 2011 and a state runner-up in 2012...three-time All-Conference...Senior National runner-up in 2012...champion at Dominate the Dells tournament...2X Bi-State champ...3X wrestler of the year at Caledonia...charted 146-12 career record in high school..played football in high school and helped Caledonia win four state titles...2X All-Conference award winner and a 2X starter on state champion teams...Caledonia also won four sectional championships in football...a two-time All-Conference selection in baseball...helped Caledonia baseball win sub-section championship in 2011-12.

Personal: The son of Dan and Melisa Goergen of Caledonia, Minn...a elementary physical education major at SCSU...enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, wakeboarding, jet skiing and tubing...Dad was one of his high school wrestling coaches at Caledonia.
