Sept. 28, 2013 - Grand Re-Opening Celebration
Oct. 11, 2013 - SCSU Men's Hockey Home Opener vs. Bemidji State
St. Cloud State University will celebrate the grand re-opening of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Saturday, Sept. 28. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. that day with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring guest speakers President Earl H. Potter, Dan Brooks and SCSU coach Bob Motzko.
The event will also include arena tours of the renovated Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, which is home to the SCSU men's and women's hockey teams. The grand re-opening ceremony is open to the public and admission is free.
After the grand re-opening ceremonies, SCSU fans are invited to head over to Husky Stadium for the Huskies' football game against NSIC rival Augustana that begins at 6 p.m.
Re-Opening Night
On Friday, Oct. 11, the SCSU men's hockey team will open their 2013-14 season with a home date against Bemidji State. The doors at the HBNHC will open at 6 p.m. that evening and a special WCHA championship banner raising ceremony will take place at 7:15 p.m. before the game against BSU.
