The 1933 football team was the first undefeated, untied team in SCSU history and was the Minnesota Teachers College Conference Champion that year. The 1933 team had four all-conference players that year: Gene Rengel, halfback; Larry Rieder, center; Art Kurtzman, tackle; and Carlyle Ehri, guard. The most memorable game of the 1933 season was the final game against St. John's in which SCSU won the conference title.
