A SCSU student from 1948-52, he was a four-time letterwinner in baseball, two-time letterwinner in football, and lettered one year in track. He captained the football team and earned all-conference honors as the quarterback. He was voted Most Valuable Player by his teammates in baseball in 1952. Al earned his Master of Science degree from SCSU in 1974 and completed the sixth year program in 1980. Since 1952 he has taught, coached, and been an administrator at Buffalo Senior High School including 23 years as athletic director. He presently is the assistant principal at Buffalo Senior High School.
