A SCSU student from 1947-51, he was a four-time letterwinner in football and baseball. Two-time all-conference honoree in football and captain of the 1950 football team. He was the leading scorer on the 1950 SCSU football team and was named the conference Most Valuable Player that same year. He has worked in and provided leadership at all levels of sports including youth, high school, and college athletics for over 30 years. He works and resides in Minneapolis.
