His involvement and service to SCSU Athletics began in the early 1950's shortly after his graduation from the university in 1952. He was the first business to provide a courtesy car to the football coaching staff and over the years donated vehicles for men's and women's coaches. Bill was a charter member and a past president of the Husky Booster Club, as well as a charter member of the university's President Club initiated by former president Brendan McDonald. He and his wife, Betty, were gracious hosts to SCSU coaches and president's over the years. Bill was a lifelong resident of St. Cloud and was president and co-owner of Klein Olds, Cadillac. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and sports fan. Bill was a vocal supporter of SCSU athletics in the business community throughout his life. Â
