A resident of Golden Valley, Minn., Carol Bemis graduated from SCSU in 1977. Carol was involved in softball, basketball and volleyball. The mother of 5-year-old Denis, Carol has worked as a clinician for the Amateur Softball Association in the National Coaching School. Carol was elected all-American eight times, women's major slow pitch most valuable player in 1984, and was named Most Valuable Player of the 1984 Women's Major Slow Pitch National Championship. Carol played in 13 ASA national championships, driving in 73 runs and batting 0.481. Carol was inducted into the Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame and the Amateur Softball Association of America Hall of Fame.
