Cecil Stensrud

The late Cecil Stensrud stood five foot three inches tall, weighed 140 pounds and was an All-State quarterback at St. Cloud State Teachers College in 1930. He also excelled in track and basketball. He graduated from St. Cloud State Teachers College in 1930. In 1931 he returned to the College to take additional classes and served as an assistant football coach. His first teaching job was in North St. Paul, Minn. He served in teh Navy during World War II and after his release from the armed services, he bought a resort in Grand Rapids. He moved to Sauk Rapids where he owned a dry cleaning business. According to his daughter, Sharon Huber, he found his niche in life when he went to work for the State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and later retired in 1974.
