Dave Westlund began studying at SCSU and earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. He was also named to All-Conference teams in football and basketball. During the years 1951-53, Westlund played basketball on a semi-pro team in Italy. After graduating from SCSU in 1956, Westlund taught and coached in the Mounds View School District and was Head Basketball Coach at Northwestern College in Roseville. He now operates Westlund Brothers Construction Company.
