Jerry Dirkes

Induction:
1990

Dirkes completed undergraduate degrees in business education and physical education, as well as a masters degree in physical education at SCSU. His athletic career is distinguished by three-time All-American Honors in Cross Country and Track. He helped establish the 24-hour Relay Team World Record which stood for five years and qualified for the 1968 Olympic Trials held in Los Angeles. He also qualified for the Honor Roll throughout his college career. Dirkes is a faculty member the Stanley-Boyd (Wisconsin) Area Schools where he teaches and coaches.
