Jim Eisenreich

A 1981 graduate of SCSU, Eisenreich led the Huskies in hitting in 1979 and 1980. He has a career batting average of .375 and his best year was 1980 when he hit .385 with 8 home runs, 35 runs batted in, and 35 runs scored. He was named twice to the All-Conference Team. Eisenreich was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1980. Later he was signed by the Kansas City Royals who voted him Team Most Valuable Player in 1989. In 1990 he won the Tony Conigliaro Award from the Boston Red Sox writers. He has been a national spokesperson for the Tourettes Syndrome Association and was presented the TSA Leadership Award.
