A SCSU student from 1932-36, he was a four-time letterwinner in basketball and two-time letterwinner in baseball. He is the only SCSU basketball player to lead the team in scoring four years straight and to be named all-conference four consecutive years. He captained the basketball team in 1936. After graduation he spent 40 years in education including 23 years as principal of Mounds View High School. He retired in 1976 and lives in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
