Noel Olson

Noel Olson

Induction:
1997

Noel Olson held several coaching positions throughout his career, leading many teams to district and regional championships. In 1958, he was named baskeball Coach of the Year. As director of men's athletics at SCSU, Noel had an overwhelming impact on the men's athletic program. He and John Kasper were instrumental in starting the SCSU Athletic Hall of Fame. Noel served as a commissioner of the North Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as well as acting as co-host of WJON's Sportline for seven years. Community service has been a large part of Noel's life. Noel is the 1997 recipient of the Service to Athletics award. He and his wife Kathy have two grown children.
