From Cold Spring, Minn., Patti Decker was a three-sport athlete at St. Cloud State University during the mid 1970’s. She was a four-year starter on the SCSU women’s basketball team from 1974 to 1978. She was a three-year captain of the team. Decker was the second woman to score 1,000 points at SCSU. She currently rank 13th on the SCSU scoring chart with 1,182 career points. As a freshman, she participated in track and field. She was a three-year starter on the SCSU softball team. Decker remains active in sports, competing in racquetball and darts. A Cold Spring native, Decker is active in her hometown, working with the ROCORI Community Education Program. She is an instructor in the Rocori Community Ed. Program. She was inducted into the Rocori High School Hall of Fame in 1997. She is a member of the Cold Spring American Legion. She coaches the Rocori Girls B squad basketball team, AAU basketball and is a softball umpire. Decker is employed as a driver for the St. Cloud MTC. She is also a Respite/Foster Care provider.
