Cohasset, Minn., was a two sport athlete at SCSU. His contributions in basketball led St. Cloud to the conference championships in 1960. Bob was an exceptional hitter and center fielder for the Huskies and led his baseball team to the conference championship and NAIA playoffs. in 1958 his baseball team took third place in the National Tournament and was named the All Tournament team. in 1960, the Husky basketball team, captained by Bob Streetar, finished the season with a 104-90 win over Winona for its fifth straight Northern State College Conference championship, and Bob was named the MVP of the conference. After graduating from SCSU, Bob served as a coaching assistant for the Bloomington High School basketball team. Since 1969, Bob has taught mathematics and coached baseball for Grand Rapids High School. In 1974 he coached his team to the state Legion Baseball Championships. In 1978 and 1984 he was named the High School Baseball Coach of the Year. Bob has been president of the Minnesota State High School Baseball Association and a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association. bob and his wife Sharon have raised three children.
