From Minneapolis, Minn., graduated (Summa Cum Laude) from SCSU in 1989 with a degree in mathematics and a minor in statistics. She has a master's in statistics from Iowa State University. Sarah was a guard on the SCSU women's basketball team from 1984-1988. She was a three-time All-North Central Conference and three-time American Women's Sports Federation All-American. She was also named to the AWSF College Division All-Region Team and was a WBCA-Kodak All District IV Team pick. In addition, she excelled in the classroom earning 1988 National GTE Academic All-America First Team Honors. She was also three-time North Central Conference All-Academic Team selection. She currently holds SCSU school records for most free throws made in a game with 15, best free throw percentage in a game 100 percent (13 of 13), best three point field goal percentage in a game 80 percent (4 of 5). She ranks second among SCSU's all-time leading scorers with 1, 812 career points. She ranks among the top five in field goal attempts, field goals made, free throw attempts and free throws made. Sarah is a Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota. In 1992, she received the ACE Award (Award for Contributions that are Exceptional) while working at Searle Pharmaceuticals. She is involved in the Singles ministry and SportsPlus at Grace Church of Edina.
