Serge Gambucci

Serge Gambucci earned hockey letters at St. Cloud State in 1946, 1947, and 1948. He served as team captain and was leading scorer. He was named to the 1948 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. Gambucci boasts a long list of contributions to hockey, including ten consecutive state hockey championships while at Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Serge was awarded the Sports Illustrated Award of Merit as well as an Award of Merit from the City of Grand Forks for his work with high school hockey. The North Dakota Associated Press named him coach of the year for 1969-70 and the National High School Coaches Association also named him coach of the year in 1970.
