Stan Nordin

Stan Nordin participated in basketball, football, and track during his SCSU career and was named to the all-conference team in each of these sports. He earned three letters in football, four letters in track, and held the high jump record in 1940 and 1941. During a tour of duty with the U.S. Marines as a pilot major, he played service basketball. His team won the southern AAV championship in New Orleans during which he earned distinction as Most Valuable Player. His team also won the national servicemen's tournament in Denver. Nordin was a member of the Minnesota AAV state basketball championship teams in 1948 and 1949.
