Hinckley, Minn., is a 1953 graduate of SCSU. He played football for the Huskies from 1950 to 1952 and was a member of the baseball team in 1953. As a halfback, he co-captained the football squad in 1952. He was a two-time All-Conference selection and was the SCSU rushing leader in 1952 and conference scoring champion that same year. He held season records for most touchdowns with 11 in 1952 and total points with 66 also in 1952. Following his graduation, Stan taught and coached in Lake City and Hibbing for a total of 11 years. In 1964, Stan returned to his home of Forest Lake where he was a football and basketball athlete from 1943 to 1945. At Forest Lake he was the head football (1964-1970) and basketball coach (1967-73). In 1973 he became the Director of Community Education for School District #831, and retained that position until his retirement in 1985. Stan and his wife Charie, have four grown children.Â
