from Blaine, MN, currently living in Minneapolis, MN, graduated from SCSU in 1974 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. She was a four-year member of the women's gymnastics team in 1970-1974, a three-year member of the women's swim team from 1971-1974, a one-year member of the women's softball team in 1970, and a one-year member of the women's track team in 1974. She was All-American in 1980 and 1981 in marathon for the Track & Field Association. She was also a qualifier in AIAW Gymnastics and Diving in 1974. Her years of coaching experience include: Blaine Sr. High School-gymnastics in 1974; Blaine Sr. High School-diving in 1974-1976; Apple Valley Sr. High School-cross-country, diving, gymnastics, track in 1976-1979; Mankato State University-cross-country/track in 1980; North Dakota State University-cross-country/track in 1989-1994. She was the Cross-Country Coach of the Year in the North Star Conference (Ohio) in 1991. A nine-time NCC (North Central Conference) Coach of the Year, she has coached 8 North Central Conference Championship Teams in Cross-Country & Track. In 1988, she was the NCAA Central Region Cross-Country Coach of the Year. Sue garnered 21 All-American athletes in Division II while coaching at North Dakota State.
