A 1969 graduate of SCSU, Ditty earned four athletic letters in basketball and one in baseball. In basketball, his career points total 1,017 from 1965-68, earning him letters in each of those years. He was co-captain and All-Conference in 1967 and 1968, and was All-District 13 in 1968. In 1968 the Huskies' 25-4 record earned them a berth in the NAIA national tournament. In baseball, Ditty earned a letter and All-Conference honors in 1969. He was a member of the 1969 NAIA National All Tournament Team. The baseball Huskies placed third in that event. Ditty coached baseball in Benson, MN, from 1972-73 and was the head basketball coach and assistant baseball coach in Hastings, MN, from 1973-81. An executive with Norex Inc., Prior Lake.
