deceased, Warroad, Minn., graduated from SCSU in 1948. At SCSU he was a member of the football and baseball teams for three seasons. A fullback in football, Stukel earned team MVP and conference MVP honors in 1947. During the 1946-47 year, he was a player/coach for the Husky baseball team where he directed the squad from his catcher's position. Following his graduation from SCSU, Tony taught social studies and coached football, basketball and baseball in Warroad. He was involved in many community activities and coordinated the design and supervised the building of an athletic complex in Warroad which included four softball diamonds, a football field with a track and a baseball diamond. Tony started the driver's education program in Warroad and administered it from 1955 to 1970. For 37 years, he was a member of the Warroad volunteer fire department. He is the husband of Ruth Stukel of Warroad.Â
