Letterwinner in basketball from 1956-59 and a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-American in 1957 when he averaged 20 points and 22 rebounds per game. During his career, SCSU won four Northern Intercollegiate Conference (NIC) titles. Baggenstoss was accorded all-conference honors three times. He has three SCSU records: career rebounds (1324), single season rebounds (457) and single game rebounds (31). Baggenstoss works and resides in Minneapolis.
