Edina, MN: Wally Irwin was a four-year letter winner in hockey and three-time letter winner in football from 1956-1960. At SCSU, he captained the football and hockey teams during his senior season. In hockey, he was the leading scorer for the Huskies in three of four seasons that he played. His senior season, in which the Huskies posted an 11-3 record, he scored eight goals and added 12 assists. An Edina, Minn., native, Wally played end and halfback on the Husky football team. He was the senior class vice president at SCSU and the Letterman's Club secretary. He has coached Edina Girls Junior Hockey, as well as junior football, soccer and boys hockey, and held the position of Edina Football Association President for two years.
