Vaness and Sunstrom lead Huskies in cross country dual

St. Cloud State won the dual with 21 points to the Golden Bears 40. Senior Kassie Vaness (Oxford, Wis.) won the race in 22:31.00 and first year teammate Sam Sunstrom (Sauk Rapids) ran a personal record 22:39.4 to finish in second place.
The Huskies claimed fifth through ninth place as Jenny Metzler ran the 6k track in 24:35.5 to finish fifth, Rachel Sakry was sixth in 24:57.2, and Kylie Baas was seventh with a time of 24:58.2
Lauren Johnson placed eighth in a time of 25:02.4 and Jessie Hubley was ninth finishing in 25:04.4
Concordia-St. Paul was led by Maggie Marcus and Anne Schield. Marcus finished third in 23:50.9 and Schield was fourth in 23:56.1
