Indianapolis – St. Cloud State University junior guard Sam Price (Eau Claire, Wis.) is the 2012-13 NCAA Division II statistical champion for free throw percentage.
Price led the nation with a 93.3 free throw shooting percentage, making 97 of 104 attempts during the season. Her top free throw shooting performances included a 16 of 18 night against the University of Mary and a perfect 10 for 10 against Southwest Minnesota State University. The 16 free throws made was one shy of the single game school record.
A three-year starter for the Huskies, Price averaged 13.7 points a game and was second in team scoring during the 2012-13 season.
St. Cloud State posted a 19-9 overall record and won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division title.
