St. Cloud State Men's Cross Country 17th at UW-LaCrosse Meet

The St. Cloud State University men's cross country team placed 17th at the 2014 Jim Drew/Tori Neubauer Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Huskies tallied 476 team points in the meet, which featured 27 teams and was won by the University of Minnesota with 55 points.
The Huskies were paced at the event by Chris Caron, who posted a time of 26:35 on the 8K course at the Ettrick Golf Club in LaCrosse, Wis. SCSU's T.J. Schiltz finished in 69th place at 26:37 and Rashad Harris was 102nd at 26:56.
"All of our runners had season of lifetime bests today," SCSU coach Eric Hanenberger said. "It's fun to see the hard work starting to payoff. Great job HUSKIES!"
Johnathan Hess placed 106th for the Huskies at 27:05, while Sebastian Sowada placed 134th at 27:35 in the race which featued 446 runners. The SCSU group was completed by Mathew Massmann with a time of 27:40 and John Simila was a time of 27:50.
The Huskies will continue their 2014 season on Oct. 24 by hosting the Bob Waxlax Invitational at the Wapicada Golf Course in nearby Sauk Rapids, Minn.
