Men's and women's swimming and diving post wins over UW-Stevens Point and UW-Eau Claire

Eau Claire, Wis. – The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept a pair of duals with wins over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Friday and Saturday.
The men posted a 217-83 win over Stevens Point and a 249-50 win over Eau Claire.
The women were victorious over Stevens Point 204-96 and Eau Claire 211.50-88.50.

Several Huskies won multiple events over the two-day event.
First-year swimmer Justin Winnett (Woodward, Iowa) led the Huskies as he won three events. Winnett won the 100 breast (58.65), 200 breast (2:11.0) and 200 IM (1:59.54).
Other Highlights
Both squads will compete in the Carleton College Invitational on Nov. 1.

- First-year swimmer Andrea Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) posted wins in the 200 free and 100 butterfly. She swam the 200 free in 1:58.10 and went 1:00.73 in the fly.
- Sophomore Emily Tiedemann (Verona, Wis.) was first in the 100 back in 1:00.25 and won the 200 back in 2:11.84. She also led off the winning 200 medley relay.
- Senior Abby Rasmussen (Sauk Rapids) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.73.
- Julie Schmitt (Casper, Wyo.), a sophomore, won the 100 free in 54.77.
- Senior Kellyn Craig (Denver, Colo.) took first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:27.13 and the 200 IM in 2:15.42.
- Senior Alex Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) won the 200 free in 1:44.86 and 500 free in 4:50.93.
- Senior diver Tyler Magalis (Farmington, Minn.) swept the diving events. He posted a score of 300.80 on the three-meter board and a 345.30 on the one-meter board.
- Senior Jake Stoll (Gilbert, Ariz.) won the 50 free in 21.35
- Sophomore Neil Manning (Arlington, Texas) swam the 1000 free in 10:14.91 to win the event.
- Senior Chris Tung (Reno, Nev.) was first in the 100 free in 48.12 and swam the first leg of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
- First-year swimmer Conner Hickey won the 100 fly in 53.42.
Both squads will compete in the Carleton College Invitational on Nov. 1.
