St. Cloud State Nordic Ski opens 2019-20 season with races in Duluth

The St. Cloud State University Nordic Ski team opened its 2019-20 season with races at the CXC Season Opener on Dec. 14-15 in Duluth, Minn.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, SCSU opened the weekend with competition in the 7.5K freestyle mass start race. SCSU's Cheresa Bouley led the team with a 22nd place finish in the race with a time of 23:41.1. Teammate Jamie Herridge placed second for the Huskies with a 40th place finish of 25:24.4. The SCSU squad was completed by Anna Stockinger with a 78th place time of 29:20.3.
The weekend was completed on Sunday, Dec. 15 with competition in the Classic Sprint races. Bouley advanced to the quarterfinals and tallied a 20th place finish at 4:51.26. Stockinger also competed in the race and finished with a time of 5:47.14.
SCSU will continue its season on Dec. 21-22 with races at the MTU CXC Cup in Houghton, Mich.
