Davis leads team in Division II All-Star Game

EVANSTON, IND. – St. Cloud State University men's basketball senior Gage Davis (Bolingbrook, Ill. / Bolingbrook) officially closed his college basketball career Friday evening when he participated in the Reese's Division II College All-Star Game in Evanston, Indiana. Davis officially closed his career in style, as he closed the game as the West Team's leading scorer in a 133-106 victory by the Division II East Team.
Davis did not disappoint in the final game of his college career, as he scored 20-plus points for the 25th time this season. According to the box score provided by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), Davis was the leading scorer for the West Team, as he scored 22 points on 10-14 shooting from the floor, including a 2-5 mark from beyond the arc. Additionally, Davis tallied a team-leading seven rebounds and added two assists and three steals.
Davis is the third Husky selected to play in the Division II All-Star Game, as Taylor Witt and David Dreas earned the honor in 2011 and 2008 respectively. Earlier this week, Davis earned All-America honors from the NABC and D2CCA and was additionally named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Player of the Year in late February.

Davis is the third Husky selected to play in the Division II All-Star Game, as Taylor Witt and David Dreas earned the honor in 2011 and 2008 respectively. Earlier this week, Davis earned All-America honors from the NABC and D2CCA and was additionally named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Player of the Year in late February.
