The St. Cloud State University Intercollegiate Athletic Department hosted its annual Huskies Sportacular Golf Outing at the scenic St. Cloud Country Club on Monday, June 3. The event was another huge success as perfect summer weather greeted the golfers.
A contingent of 120 golfers participated in this year's event, which is the premiere golf fundraising event for SCSU Athletics each year. Proceeds from the event help support Huskies Athletics.
The event included 18 holes of golf on the challenging layout at the St. Cloud Country Club along with food, beverages and prizes throughout the day. A post-tournament social hour capped the day in the clubhouse, which featured a silent auction, door prizes, tournament trophies and an outstanding appetizer buffet provided by the St. Cloud Country Club.
"The weather was perfect, the course conditions were outstanding and the day was a perfect opportunity to enjoy some great golf," said Andy Sailer, the 2019 Husky Sportacular tournament director. "I would like to thank all of this year's participants in the Sportacular and for their ongoing support of St. Cloud State Athletics. I would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their donations and support of this tournament as without all of them we would not be able to make this such a huge success each and every year. The success of this event is just another example of the great support we receive from our campus and community."
