St. Cloud State Nordic Ski competes at Midwest CXC Cup races

The St. Cloud State University nordic ski team finished a weekend of competiton at the Midwest CXC Cup races, which were held at Mount Itasca in Coleraine, Minn. On Jan. 18, the Huskies competed in the 5K freestyle interval start race and on Jan. 19, SCSU competed in the 15K classic mass start race.
SCSU's Cheresa Bouley led the Huskies in the 15K classic race with a 23rd place time of 1:01:41.2. She also placed 70th in the 5K freestyle race with a time of 20:22.7.
Jamie Herridge placed 26th in the 15K classic race with a time of 1:04:48.3, and SCSU teammate Anna Stockinger placed 28th with a time of 1:11:49.1 in the 15K classic race. In the 5K freestyle, Herridge placed 77th at 20:49 and Stockinger was 99th in the 5K freestyle with a time of 22:58.5.

SCSU will continue its 2019-20 season on Jan. 25-26 with races at the CCSA Birkie Start races in Cable, Wisc.
