ST. CLOUD, MINN. - St. Cloud State University women's soccer senior Kassidy Lange (Grafton, Wis. / Grafton) was featured in the latest issue of St. Cloud State Today for her work both on and off the field of play. After graduating this past May, Lange announced she plans to attend graduate school in South Carolina where she will receive a Master's degree in Marine Biology.
Lange received the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Academic Collaboration and Coordination Model to Ensure Student Success in STEM (ACCESS STEM) scholarship early in her St. Cloud State career. ACCESS STEM provides scholarships and support to 100 students with demonstrated financial need to support more diversity in the STEM fields. Lange fit all the requirements, as she was interested in veterinary science when she first came to St. Cloud State in the fall of 2019, but became interested in biology and toxicology while working in the Aquatic Toxicology Lab with Dr. Satomi Kohno.
Lange, who will attend the Grice Marine Lab at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, appeared in three games during the 2019 season with one start at defense in her first season with the Huskies.
