2022 Alumni Challenge Wraps up with Record-Breaking Success

SCSU Athletics raises more than $88,000 dollars
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics wrapped up its 2022 Alumni Challenge with record-breaking numbers on Tuesday, as the Huskies 17 varsity programs raised $88,509.02 over 619 gifts during the seven-day fundraiser. The $88,500 raised is the largest amount raised in the five-year history of the challenge and is more than $20,000 more than the $57,476.98 raised in 2021.
"The Huskies Athletics experience is a critical part of our student-athletes' growth and development during their time at St. Cloud State. The success of our alumni is a testament to the impact," said SCSU Director of Athletics Heather Weems. "The Alumni Challenge encourages our athletics alumni to stay involved and create opportunities for the young men and women currently in our programs. I am so grateful to the over 600 alumni who participated and chose to make a difference. Their investment in our programs helps us achieve and sustain excellence, and models the teamwork required to compete at the highest level. Thank you to all of our alumni donors!
Four teams earned the extra $2,500 reward for participation and dollars raised, as women's soccer and women's swim & dive had the highest percentage of alumni donate, while baseball and women's basketball raised the most money overall.
