St. Cloud State Athletics Holds Highly Successful Huskies Sportacular

More than 160 golfers participated, raising more than $15,000 for St. Cloud State Athletics
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics held its annual Huskies Sportacular Golf Tournament fundraiser on Monday, June 6 with an impressive showing at the St. Cloud Country Club. In total, more than 160 golfers participated in the event and raised more than $15,000.
"We had another highly successful event and it was so great to see all the Husky supporters once again," said Bruce Thompson, Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and tournament director. "On behalf of the entire athletics department, I would like to thank everyone all participants and sponsors for their continued support of St. Cloud State Athletics. A special thank you to our premium sponsors for the event: BSN, Bernick's Viking Coke, Welch Dental Care, The Lyle Group, CentraCare Physicians Orthopedics and Summit Fire Protection."
All 39 teams who participated in the annual fundraiser received a full round of golf at St. Cloud Country Club along with food, beverages and prizes awarded throughout the day with a post-tournament social, which featured a raffle, door prizes and tournament trophies. The winning team was the four-some of Dave Jacobs, Nate Landwehr, Aaron Zimmer and Rich Benninghoff.
The Huskies Sportacular is held annually in June as the primary golf fundraiser for St. Cloud State Athletics. All proceeds from the event help support Husky teams and student-athletes.
