Slattery sets new personal best time at conference meet
WAYNE, Neb. – St. Cloud State Cross Country recorded one new 6k cross country personal best on Friday afternoon at the NSIC Championships, hosted by Wayne State at the Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Nebraska. As a team, the Huskies placed 16th of 16 teams.
Senior Hannah Little (Grimes, Iowa) once again led the SCSU Pack, finishing her final conference meet in 25:44.4 to finish 100th. She was just .03 seconds off her season best time from earlier this month at the Blugold Invitational.
The rest of the Huskies finished in the same order as last meet – freshman Jocie Wheeler (Annandale, Minn.) followed by sophomore Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.), freshman Campbell Slattery (Big Lake, Minn) and sophomore MerriAnna Johnson (Osceola, Wis.). Wheeler was 108th in 26:18.9, Nunez was 116th in 26:38.4, Slattery was 118th in 26:48.3 and Johnson was 122nd in 27:19.5. Slattery's time was a 2.5 second personal best.

The Huskies continue their postseason schedule in two weeks at the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo.
