Bio
2021-22: Donaldson improved upon his impressive 2020-21 campaign, earning Second Team All-NSIC honors in his third season with St. Cloud State. The junior was phenomenal for the Huskies throughout the regular season, starting all 27 games while averaging 17.5 points per game. His shooting numbers were even more impressive, as Donaldson shot .573 percentage from the floor and was the only St. Cloud State student-athlete to convert 100+ free throws during the regular season. He ranked second on the team with 85 assists and scored in double-digits in 23 games this season. Donaldson was perhaps the Huskies most consistent player in 2021-22 as his stat line looked nearly identical in NSIC play. Against conference opponents, Donaldson averaged 17.3 points per game and shot .551 from the floor to lead the team in field goal percentage. Like Roberts, he ranked top-5 in the NSIC in both minutes played and minutes per game and ranked top-10 in both scoring and shooting percentage. He scored his 1000th career point against Bemidji State in the final game of the regular season.
2020-21: Donaldson had a breakout season in his second year at St. Cloud State, earning All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades for his performance on the court. In his second season with the Huskies, Donaldson set career highs in points (33), rebounds (8), assists (6) and steals (3) during the regular season and helped the team advance to the quarterfinal round of the NSIC Tournament for the first time since 2018-19. As St. Cloud State's starting point guard, the sophomore averaged an impressive 16.7 points per game and tallied 58 rebounds, 60 assists, one block and 19 steals in the regular season. Perhaps even more mind-boggling than his overall numbers were Donaldson's shooting numbers, as he shot .579 (113-195) from the floor with a .524 (11-21) clip from three point range. At the end of the regular season, Donaldson ranked tenth in scoring (16.7), fourth in field goal percentage (.575) and minutes played (35.6), fifth in assists/turnover ratio (2.6) and seventh in assists (3.8) in the NSIC.
2019-20: Donaldson made a big impact in his first season with the Huskies, as he appeared in all 29 games with 18 starts. As a first year, Donaldson scored 257 points, averaging 8.9 points a game, while tallying 71 rebounds, 32 assists, six blocks and 19 steals. He scored a career-high 21 points in a loss to Northern State and pulled in a career-high eight rebounds in a win over Minnesota-Duluth in December.
High School: Donaldson put together an impressive high school resume, earning multiple accolades during his time in Bloomington, Illinois. A 6'3 combo guard, Donaldson averaged an impressive 15.7 points, 3.1 assists and 1.7 per game during his senior season, and earned All-Conference and All-State honors in 2018-19. He was voted First Team All-Conference, Team MVP and All-State Honorable Mention after his senior season and was selected to play in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game this past winter. During the season, Donaldson earned Second Team honors at the All-Pontiac Holiday Classic.
