Maddie MacFarlane is in her first year as a Graduate Assistant for the Strategic Communications Department.Â

MacFarlane is a second-year graduate student pursuing her master’s degree in Sports Management.
Â
Prior to graduate school, MacFarlane earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Photojournalism and a minor in Graphic Design from St. Cloud State University. She has served as a sports photographer for the SCSU Athletics Department and a writer and photographer for the campus newspaper, the University Chronicle, since coming to St. Cloud in 2014.

Originally from Dubuque, Iowa, MacFarlane started her work in sports media with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL.

Following graduation in May 2019, MacFarlane plans to continue her career in digital media with a professional sports team.Â
