
Swimming and Diving Finds Success at Northfield Invite

Northfield, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at the Northfield Invite today. Swimming competition took place at St. Olaf College, while diving was hosted at Carleton. St. Cloud State competed in today's quad-dual against Minnesota State University - Mankato, MSU Moorhead, the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse, St. Olaf College, and Carleton.
Head Coach Jeff Hegle recapped the day stating, "Both the swimmers and divers performed very well today. The men broke the pool record in the 200 fly and Jake Stoll broke the pool record in the 50 free. We had some individuals compete in different events than usual today and they performed very well."
Jake Stoll set the new pool record in the 50 free with a time of 20.82.
The men's 200 medley relay made up of Bob Simson, Napoleon Howell, Joe Burns, and Jake Stoll broke the pool record with a time of 1:32.74.
Meghan Carmichael broke the 200 fly pool record with a time of 2:09.51.
