#3 St. Cloud State Wrestling Gains 32-3 Win Over Concordia

St. Cloud, Minn. - The #3 St. Cloud State University wrestling team opened its 2012-13 dual season with a 32-3 victory over non-conference rival #12 Concordia-Moorhead (1-2) on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at SCSU's Halenbeck Hall.
The victory was SCSU's 27th consecutive dual match win and the Huskies dominated from start to finish in the match. The Huskies opened the night with a 10-3 win by Eric Forde at 125-pounds and then rolled with four more wins at 133-pounds (Jared Kust), 141-pounds (Jay Hildreth), 149-pounds (Josh Howk) and 157-pounds (Clint Poster).
CC's lone points were picked up at 165-pounds with a 6-4 win by Jake Krogstad over SCSU's Jack Barnes. SCSU got back on track with an 8-4 victory by SCSU's Ben McPhail at 174-pounds. #3 ranked Shamus O'Grady added a 12-8 win for the Huskies at 184-pounds and Chris Brassell rolled to a 12-6 win at 197.
Senior Jacob Kahnke, who is ranked #2 in the nation, finished the evening with a fall victory at 5:48 at 285-pounds.
The Huskies will continue their 2012-13 dual season on Dec. 12 with a match at nearby St. John's University in Collegeville.
