The following is a list of former St. Cloud State University students who have gone on to compete on the world stage in the Olympics.
Klara Hymlarova - Ice Hockey Klara Hymlarova played for the Team Czech Republic women's hockey team at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. An active player at SCSU, Hymlarova tallied six points, including one goal, in her first Olympic Appearance. |

Jenniina Nylund - Ice Hockey Jenniina Nylund played for the Team Finland women's hockey team at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Nylund, an active player at SCSU, earned a Bronze Medal and scored one goal in her first Olympic appearance. |

Nick Perbix - Ice Hockey Nick Perbix played for the Team USA men's hockey team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China alongside teammate Sam Hentges. A draftee of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Perbix played defense for the Huskies from 2018 to 2022. |

Sam Hentges - Ice Hockey Sam Hentges played for the Team USA men's hockey team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. A draftee of the Minnesota Wild, Hentges played forward for the Huskies from 2018 to 2022. |

Janine Alder - Ice Hockey A standout goalie for the SCSU women's hockey team, Alder helped Team Switzerland win a bronze medal in ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. She was also a member of the Swiss team in women's ice hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. Alder will begin her junior season with the Huskies in 2018-19. |

Will Borgen - Ice Hockey Will Borgen played for the Team USA men's hockey team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. A draftee of the Buffalo Sabres, Borgen defense played for the Huskies from 2015 to 2018. |

Matt Cullen - Ice Hockey An All-WCHA award recipient at SCSU in 1997, Cullen made his Olympic debut at the Winter Games in Torin, Italy in 2006 along with former SCSU skaters Bret Hedican and Mark Parrish. After his departure from SCSU in 1997, Cullen has gone on to a long career in the NHL, which has included stops at Anaheim, Florida, New York Rangers, Carolina, Ottawa, Minnesota and most recently Nashville. He helped win the Stanley Cup at Carolina in 2006 and Pittsburgh in 2016. |

Dave Hazewinkel - Wrestling A standout for the St. Cloud State University wrestling team. Dave Hazewinkel earned All-America status with the Huskies in 1965 and 1966. He competed in the Summer Olympics in Mexico City in 1968 and also in Munich in 1972. He wrestled at 125.5-pounds in the Greco-Roman competition. He earned three NIC conference titles during his career at SCSU and was named the Huskies' Dean Weisman Wrestler of the Year in 1966. |

Jim Hazewinkel - Wrestling A four-time NAIA national champion for the Huskies in 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1967, Jim Hazewinkel competed for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in 1968 at Mexico City and in 1972 at Munich. He wrestled at both Olympics at 136.5-pounds in the Greco-Roman competition. A four-time All-American, Hazewinkel won NIC conference titles in 1965 and 1967 and was selected the Dean Weisman Wrestler of the Year in 1967. |

Bret Hedican - Ice Hockey One of SCSU's Division I hockey pioneers, Bret Hedican represented Team USA at the Winter Olympics in 1992 at Albertville, France and returned to the world stage in 2006 at the Winter Games in Torin, Italy. The first player in the history of SCSU to earn All-WCHA honors in 1991, Hedican enjoyed a long career in the NHL from 1991 to 2010, which included a Stanley Cup championship in 2006 with Carolina. |

Tami Jameson - Team Handball An All-NCC Honorable Mention award winner in women's basketball for the Huskies in 1990, Jameson participated in the 1992 Olympics in Atlanta in Team Handball. She was part of four NCAA tournament teams during her basketball career at SCSU. In 1988-89, SCSU won the NCC title and also advanced to the elite eight of the NCAA Division II tournament. |

Toni Jameson - Team Handball An All-America award winner for the SCSU women's basketball team in 1989 and 1990, Jameson joined her sister Tami on the United State Team Handball squad at the Summer Games in Atlanta in 1992. She was part of four NCAA tournament teams during her basketball career at SCSU. In 1988-89, SCSU won the NCC title and also advanced to the elite eight of the NCAA Division II tournament. An All-NCC selection in 1989 and 1990, Jameson ranks among SCSU's leaders in several statistical categories. |

Ryan Malone - Ice Hockey A member of the St. Cloud State's legendary teams from 1999 to 2003, Ryan Malone completed his Husky career with 142 points, 56 goals and 84 assists. He represented Team USA at the Winter Olympics in 2010 at the Games in Vancouver. Since finishing his collegiate career at SCSU in 2003, Malone has played in the NHL with Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay and the New York Rangers. |

Heather Miller-Koch - Track and Field Heather Miller-Koch represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  She qualified for the Olympics in the heptathlon after finishing in second place at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Ore.  At SCSU, Miller-Koch was the 2010 NCAA DII Pentathlon National Championship and was a 10-Time NCAA DII Track & Field All-American and a 15-Time NSIC Champion.  She broke 10 SCSU School Records during her college career and set NSIC records in the pentathlon, indoor and outdoor triple jump, the heptathlon and outdoor long jump.  |

Van Nelson - Track and Field A member of Team USA at the Summer Olympic games in 1968, Van Nelson competed in the 10,000 meters in Mexico City that year. Nelson was a four-year letter winner in both cross-country and track at St. Cloud State from 1964 to 1968.  Nelson was the NIC Cross Country Individual Champion and Athlete of the Year in 1965, 1966 and 1967. He ran in four NAIA National Championships placing eighth in 1964 and followed that up with three straight third place finishes from 1965 to 1967. He was a four-time NAIA cross country All-American, four-time outdoor track All-American and three-time indoor track All-American. Nelson was a seven-time national champion at the NAIA indoor and outdoor championship. During his track career, Nelson ran 11 races at the NAIA National Championships, claiming three indoor titles in the two-mile run and five outdoor titles in the three-mile run (twice), two-mile run, mile run and 10,000 meter run. |

Andreas Nodl - Ice Hockey A standout player for the Huskies from 2006 to 2008, Nodl scored 36 goals and 54 assists during his collegiate career at SCSU.  Nodl went on to play in the NHL with Philadelphia and Carolina and professionally in Europe.  Nodl made his Olympic debut with Team Austria at the 2014 games in Sochi.    |

Mark Parrish - Ice Hockey A St. Cloud State All-American in 1997, Parrish represented Team USA at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torin, Italy. Parrish, who serves as a color commentator of SCSU hockey's Husky Productions along with Jim Rich (2012-present), enjoyed a long career in the NHL from 1998 to 2011. His NHL teams included Florida, New York Islanders, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Dallas, Tampa Bay and Buffalo. |

Garrett Roe - Ice Hockey Garrett Roe was a member of the United States men's hockey team at the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea. A legendary forward for the Huskies, Roe set the team record for most career assists at SCSU with 113 from 2007-11. He also ranked third in the team records with 178 career points. |

Bruce Thompson - Wrestling A two-time All-American for the Huskies in 1972 and 1973, Thompson competed for the United State in the 114.5 pounds Greco-Roman competiton at the Summer Olympics in 1976 at Montreal. He was also a member of the 1980 USA Olympic wrestling team that boycotted the Summer Games in Moscow that year. Thompson was a two-time recipient of the Dean Weisman Wrestler of the Year award in 1972 and 1973, and he also won NIC conference titles in 1972 and 1973. |
