SCSU Men's Tennis Opens Season with Split on Feb. 2

The St. Cloud State men's tennis team scored a 7-2 victory over Macalester and suffered a 7-2 loss against St. Scholastica on Saturday, Feb. 2. The match was played at SCSU's home courts in Sartell.
SCSU scored victories at first, second, fifth and sixth singles and also earned all three doubles wins in the 7-2 victory over Macalester.
SCSU completed the day with a 7-2 loss to St. Scholastica. The Huskies' gained wins with a 7-5, 6-3 victory by Brenyn Anderson at fifth singles and an 8-6 win by Tyler Hjalmquist and Jordan Peterson at first doubles.
SCSU will continue its 2013 season next weekend with home matches against Michigan Tech (Feb. 8), UW-Eau Claire (Feb. 9) and Carleton (Feb. 10). All home matches played at Fitness Evolution Tennis Center in Sartell. Admission is free for all home matches.
